Day 13 of 31: Fog of War
One of the things I love about living in Georgia is the proximity to the mountains. In less than 15 minutes I can see the mountains. In a couple of hours I can be driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. One vacation my hubby and I decided we were going to drive a stretch of the BRP. It was early and we had the road to ourselves. The smoke on the mountains settled and made it beautiful for picture taking.
And then suddenly and I mean SUDDENLY, we hit a wall of fog. It hung like a dingy, grey curtain across the road. We were stopped in our tracks; unable to go forward, unable to go back.
Satan is wanting to stop us in our tracks during our #adifferentmarch. He knows that we have the power to set captives free and that our prayers are moving the hand of God. For this reason we need to beware of "the fog of war." This military phrase refers to the difficulty of making decisions in the midst of conflict because chaos in a battle creates confusion.
To win the war there are some decisions that have to be made before a battle begins. There are some values, strategies, and loyalties that have to be established now!
Reflection: What are the things that can stop you in your tracks. What is God's truth that will keep you taking territory? (Go back through and write your strategy with affirmations from the daily blogs)
Prayer: Lord as I enter the battle I pray you would reveal anything Satan could use as a fog to create chaos and confusion while I fight for my family, friends and those who desperately need you and your peace. I pray that I will be lead by your Spirit. "Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God, my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm 25:5
