Day 18 of 31: Intercession
Intercession…(Greek) entugchano meaningfalling in with….to go to meet a person for the purpose of conversation and consultation.Luke 24:32 "were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures up to us"
Day 17 of 31: The Cadence of Praise
Seven years ago my husband and I went to Gettysburg, Virginia. The battle grounds felt ominous. The museum captured my heart as we explored pictures, relics, and letters home. One set of display cases caught my attention. Next to some pretty gnarly battlefield surgical tools, there were musical instruments.
Day 15 of 31: WE make a difference.
"When the servant of the man of God (Elisha) went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no! What shall we do?” “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
Day 14 of 31: Lets go to Bama! (and I don't mean Roll Tide)
About the time I embraced the "sure-footed" portion of this verse I was reminded what God was making me sure-footed for... the heights. While that sounds glorious for some like some scene from the Sound of Music, the heights are a little more than that.
Day 13 of 31: Fog of War
One vacation my hubby and I decided we were going to drive a stretch of the BRP. It was early and we had the road to ourselves. The smoke on the mountains settled and made it beautiful for picture taking. And then suddenly and I mean SUDDENLY, we hit a wall of fog.
Day 12 of 31: A chat with your soul about rest
We don't use the word "rest" much. These days we say we need a break, we can't wait for vacation, or we're taking a long weekend. But rest? Mostly we use that word when we're bugging our kids to eat the rest of their vegetables! That rest means, what's left. THAT is not God's rest.
